All day field trips are slammin :) I’m not going to do anything all day and that is the best feeling ever :) have fun in yearbook Anna! ;)
Cables out. Alex and I are amusing ourselves with a rousing game of “hide the tampon.” not used, that’s gross.
hmm. deep thoughts.
I wore a giraffe mask today.
It was the highlight of my day.
That is all.
I was sitting in Biology a few days ago, trying to pay attention as a teacher tried to explain to me how Earth works. I don’t understand science.
At the risk of sounding primitive and ignorant, I think the motives behind the whole practice of science are depressing.
The Earth is beautiful, wondrous, and mysterious. It’s so intricate. It is probably the sturdiest, most constant tangible thing you could think of, yet it is delicate and vulnerable. Somehow, God keeps it running in a smooth, forgiving pattern. It can be confusing to us, but it all works out somehow, and one natural occurrence contributes to the next.
Sometimes I sit behind my desk in Biology and wonder, are natural occurences really something that are meant to be comprehended by the human mind, or something that we should just marvel at?
Is it right to take something beautiful and bountiful and dissect it? When does studying for the innovation for the humankind cross the line into intruding on God’s creation? I feel like lately with the energy concerns and technology era, people have been trying to tie down nature and beat answers out of it.
I don’t understand science because I believe it’s not something that’s meant to be understood. I guess this is just a fancy way of saying I don’t want to do my science homework.
